A bold fusion of retro Y2K nostalgia and contemporary café design, Cassettes Café explores how the character of the past can be reinterpreted through a modern design lens.

Inspired by the visual language of cassette tapes, vintage audio decks, film reels and classic gaming culture, the space brings together rich timber, checkerboard flooring, jewel-toned upholstery, metallic accents, sculptural arches, nostalgic graphics and layered lighting to create a refined yet playful atmosphere.

From the bespoke cassette-inspired bar and custom wash counter to the retro media walls, cassette motifs, billiards zone and dramatic film-strip ceiling, every element has been thoughtfully designed to turn nostalgia into an immersive spatial experience.

The design balances the boldness of Y2K culture with contemporary detailing, creating an environment that feels nostalgic yet distinctly new — where music, memories, play and modern hospitality come together seamlessly.

Not just a café — a place where the past gets a modern rewind.
